This red, white and blue parfait combines creamy yogurt, fresh berries, and a delectable strawberry sauce. Super quick, easy, and healthy, it is a perfect addition to your summer brunch, barbecue or celebration.
I’ve always loved the 4th of July. As a kid, I would get SO excited to shoot off fireworks and run around outside way past my bedtime. I remember one summer we were at my cousin’s house in a different state for the 4th of July, and I found out that their city did not allow fireworks. What?!? I was heartbroken. My ten year old little brain could not fathom a city that didn’t allow fireworks. Now that I’m a mom of crazy little kids, the thought of fireworks terrifies me, because I envision massive disasters happening on the 4th when we combine excited kids with things that catch fire and explode. I almost wish our city didn’t allow fireworks. 🙂
Luckily, I always have delicious food to look forward to on the 4th. I plan on starting my day with this deliciously simple recipe, and I have a feeling the day will just get better from there. To make it, just combine yogurt, your favorite berry, and this Strawberry Sauce. Perfection! Happy (early) 4th of July everyone!!!

Hi Kalee,
You definitely are into your berries! lol. I make a strawberry sauce too and put it on chicken stuffed with mozzarella and basil. Glad you reminded me of that! Both of your recipes look fantastic.
I’m with you about the fireworks – as a grownup, they seem kind of dangerous but I’m sure our parents thought the same thing!
