This paleo Blueberry Sauce only takes 5 ingredients and 10 minutes to make. Perfect for topping ice cream, pancakes, or paleo cheesecake, this AIP blueberry sauce will take any recipe to the next level!
- 1 pint blueberries, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
- In a medium saucepan, whisk maple syrup and salt with water. Stir in blueberries. Heat over medium-high heat until the mixture starts to boil, stirring constantly. Turn down the heat to medium-low and simmer mixture for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture begins to thicken. Stir in arrowroot and simmer 2-3 minutes more. Turn off heat and allow to cool. The mixture should thicken a little more once it is cool. Enjoy!
