PALEO TERIYAKI SAUCE (WHOLE30 TERIYAKI SAUCE)

This simple paleo teriyaki sauce only takes a few minutes to make and 6 ingredients. All you need is a blender and you’ll have a flavorful Whole30 teriyaki sauce for drizzling over meat and veggies or whipping up a quick stir fry.

I love quick dinners – anything I can get on the table in 30 minutes or less is a winner in my book. This easy paleo teriyaki sauce just takes a few minutes to throw together, and then its ready to be simmered with meat and veggies, used as a marinade, or drizzled over your favorite skillet meal. It is perfect for those busy nights when you only have a few minutes to get dinner on the table, and it can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge, making it even more versatile!

HOW TO MAKE WHOLE30 TERIYAKI SAUCE

This sauce really couldn’t be easier – just blend all the ingredients together. That’s it. No cooking, simmering, babysittting. Just a quick whirl in the blender and its ready to go! There are a couple things you’ll need to do before you blend everything together, but they won’t take long. First, soak the dates in boiling water while you peel the ginger, garlic, and orange. Then, drain the dates and throw them in the blender with everything else and blend until smooth. All done!

WHAT IS TERIYAKI SAUCE MADE UP OF?

Traditional store bought teriyaki sauce has ingredients like soy sauce, wheat, high fructose corn syrup, spices, and preservatives. So, if you’re eating paleo or Whole30, or trying to avoid soy and gluten, those ingredients won’t work. Not to worry though, this recipe is proof you can easily make your own, so you don’t have to live a teriyaki-free life. 🙂 If you’re looking for a paleo and Whole30 store-bought option, you could try Primal Kitchen’s teriyaki sauce.

IS SOY SAUCE PALEO?

No, soy sauce isn’t paleo, so in this recipes I substitute coconut aminos for the soy sauce that is traditionally the base of teriyaki sauce. It works perfectly and gives it great flavor!
