- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 cups white whole wheat flour
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- Measure out 1 1/2 cups warm water in a measuring cup. You want it warmer than lukewarm, but not too hot that it kills the yeast. Add the yeast into the warm water, and let it sit while you make the rest of the dough. Using a mixer on low speed, mix both flours and salt together. Slowly drizzle in olive oil. Pour in yeast/water mixture and mix until combined and sticky. Transfer to a bowl coated in olive oil, and turn the dough to coat it in oil. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour. The dough can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, just pull it out of the fridge about an hour before you want to use it.
